FUNDUS FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPHY

Fundus Fluorescein Angiography is a test that uses special cameras to photograph the structures in the back of the eye. This test is very useful for locating the damage to the blood vessels that nourish the retina and, in turn, checking on the health of the retina itself. In this test a colored dye is injected into the arm of the patient and photographs of the retina, where the dye reaches through the circulation are then clicked using a fun day camera which provides high-resolution digital images.

YAG LASERS

The Nd : YAG laser is used to treat posterior capsular opacificification, which can occur after cataract surgery. This is a painless and quick and performed as an outpatient procedure. The Nd:YAG laser can also be used to create a peripheral iridectomy which acts as a bypass for the normal drainage of aqueous in patients with narrow angle glaucoma.
